- What does Harrowen do?
- Harrowen sources and coordinates suitable private-sector accommodation around professional requirements. We support businesses, project teams and public-sector organisations by starting with the location, dates, occupancy, property specification, budget and practical requirements rather than asking the client to choose from a fixed property inventory.
- What is corporate accommodation?
- Corporate accommodation is furnished accommodation arranged around an organisation's requirement for employees, contractors, project teams or other personnel working away from home. It is commonly used for stays lasting weeks or months and can be specified around practical requirements such as bedrooms, parking, kitchen facilities and proximity to a workplace or project site.
- What length of stay can Harrowen help with?
- Harrowen is primarily focused on medium- and longer-term accommodation requirements, including assignments lasting weeks or months. The appropriate accommodation will depend on the location, dates, occupancy, specification and available supply.
- Can Harrowen accommodate project teams?
- Yes — subject to suitable accommodation being available. Requirements for teams travelling together can include individual bedrooms or beds, parking for multiple vehicles, kitchens, laundry and accommodation close to the relevant project or operational location.
- Can accommodation be sourced anywhere in the UK?
- You can submit a requirement for any UK location. Harrowen sources around each individual requirement rather than operating from a fixed national inventory. Availability and suitability will therefore depend on the location, dates, occupancy, specification and local supply market.
- Does Harrowen have its own fixed property portfolio?
- No. Harrowen operates a requirement-led sourcing model. We work with landlords, operators, property managers and other accommodation providers and source suitable private-sector supply around the individual requirement.
- Can I request individual bedrooms or beds?
- Yes. Bedroom and bed requirements can be included in the accommodation specification. Harrowen assesses suitable available accommodation against the requested occupancy arrangement rather than assuming that personnel should share.
- Can parking be included in the requirement?
- Yes. Tell us how many vehicles require parking and whether the requirement includes vans, commercial vehicles or anything larger than a standard car. Parking requirements can materially affect which accommodation is suitable.
- Can kitchens, laundry and workspace be requested?
- Yes. Practical requirements such as kitchen facilities, laundry, Wi-Fi, workspace and other relevant features can form part of the sourcing brief. Not every property will provide every feature, so suitable supply is assessed against the individual specification.
- Can stays be extended?
- Extension requests can be assessed where the accommodation remains available. If an extension is reasonably likely, tell us when the requirement is submitted, as this may affect which accommodation options are suitable.
- Can Harrowen help with employee relocation?
- Yes. Harrowen can source temporary furnished accommodation for employees or households while permanent housing or other longer-term arrangements are being completed. Harrowen currently focuses on the accommodation element rather than wider relocation services such as removals or permanent home search.
- Can Harrowen help with healthcare and locum accommodation?
- Yes. Accommodation requirements can be assessed for locums, consultants, specialist clinicians and other personnel working temporary placements away from home. Sourcing can take account of the placement location, assignment length, rota pattern and practical requirements.
- Does Harrowen work with public-sector organisations?
- Yes. Harrowen can assess public-sector accommodation requirements and source suitable private-sector supply around the location, intended occupancy, property type, expected duration, budget and relevant accommodation criteria.
- What types of accommodation can be considered for public-sector requirements?
- Depending on the specification, suitable supply may include houses, apartments, flats, shared accommodation, appropriately configured HMOs and other professionally managed private-sector accommodation. The property type follows the requirement rather than assuming one format will suit every need.
- How are commercial arrangements handled?
- Commercial arrangements depend on the accommodation requirement and the agreed purchasing or procurement structure. Pricing and applicable commercial terms will be explained before accommodation is agreed, and purchase order, project or internal reference information can be recorded where required.
- Does Harrowen charge businesses a sourcing or platform fee?
- Under Harrowen's standard corporate model, the corporate client is not charged a separate sourcing or platform fee. Where a requirement requires a different commercial or procurement structure, the applicable terms will be explained before the client proceeds.
- How quickly can Harrowen source accommodation?
- Timescales depend on the location, dates, occupancy, specification and available supply. More notice will often provide a wider range of suitable options, but each requirement is assessed individually and Harrowen does not promise a fixed sourcing time that may not be achievable.
- What information should I provide when sending a requirement?
- Provide as much as you reasonably can about the location, arrival and departure dates or expected duration, number of occupants, bedroom or property requirements, budget, parking and any practical, operational or accessibility requirements. Approximate information can be enough for an initial assessment where final details are not yet confirmed.
- Can one requirement cover several locations?
- Yes. A single requirement can include more than one town, project site or operational location. Harrowen can assess the different locations, dates, occupancies and property requirements as part of the same sourcing exercise.
- Can landlords and accommodation providers work with Harrowen?
- Yes. Harrowen works with professional landlords, portfolio landlords, serviced accommodation operators, property managers, developers and other accommodation providers with suitable private-sector supply.
- Does joining the property partner network guarantee bookings?
- No. Joining the Harrowen property partner network does not guarantee bookings, placements, occupancy, income or returns. Whether a property is considered for a requirement depends on its location, availability, intended use, specification and suitability for the individual client requirement.
- Do property partners have to accept every requirement?
- No. Where a relevant requirement arises, Harrowen can contact the property partner to confirm availability, suitability and commercial terms. There is no obligation to proceed simply because a requirement has been presented.
