What we use

Harrowen is designed to work without non-essential advertising or tracking technologies. We do, however, use cookies and similar storage or access technologies where they are needed for website security, form protection and authenticated access to the private admin area.

Security and form protection

Our public forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated or abusive traffic. As part of that security check, Cloudflare may use cookies, local storage, session storage and other technical signals needed to operate and validate the challenge.

These technologies are used for security and anti-abuse purposes. We do not use Turnstile for advertising, retargeting or building advertising profiles.

Admin authentication

Security and session technologies are also used when an authorised Harrowen user signs in to the private admin area. They are used to authenticate the user, maintain the secure session and protect restricted parts of the website.

Technologies that are strictly necessary for security, authentication or a service requested by the user may be used without prior consent where the applicable legal requirements for that exception are met.

Analytics

We do not currently use non-essential analytics technologies to track visitors across the website.

If we introduce analytics in future, we will assess the technology and purpose before using it. Where consent is required, the relevant technology will not be used until consent has been obtained. Where a legal exception applies, we will provide the information and controls required by law.

We will not use website analytics to collect the names, email addresses or telephone numbers entered into our forms, or the content of accommodation requirements, for analytics purposes.

Advertising

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or behavioural advertising technologies on this website, and we do not use website visitor information to create advertising profiles.

Managing cookies and storage

You can block or delete cookies and other website storage through your browser settings. Blocking technologies that are required for security or authentication may prevent protected forms or the private admin area from working correctly.

The specific storage used by security providers may vary as their security checks operate and their services are updated. We review the technologies used by this website and will update this notice if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes.
